Welcome to Breckinridge Farms!
As
President of your HOA, it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you home to one of
the finest communities in the city of
Richardson!
Serving
as the Vice President in 2007 and Board Advisor in 2008 was truly a rewarding
experience. Now serving as your
Board President for 2009, I am driven more than ever and have a vision that is
committed to fulfilling the needs of our neighborhood.
My
sincere belief is that this position should be reflective of someone that is
trustworthy, loyal and giving. My
personal oath to you is that the members of our Board will faithfully
administer, and when necessary enforce the covenants and bylaws with the
homeowner’s best interest in mind and will do so with the utmost respect and
professionalism.
As a 10
year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I know what it takes to be
leader. If you are going to be a
true leader, you must always set the example for others to follow and emulate in
your person the values you ask others to respect.
True leadership is from the front, not the back and my vision for 2009 is
to lead us through a time of transition that will help us achieve greatness.
Over the
years, I have seen our various committees fail due to lack of leadership. One of my early and primary goals as
your President has been to make an immediate change in this area. In my first 90 days of service, I
have been fortunate enough to recruit volunteers to refill the Committee
Director positions.
In the
short time that I have come to know them, I have realized that their appointment
was indeed the right choice, for they have earned a respect that is very
befitting of their actions and very deserving of their positions.
You
should also know that I am very engaged in our neighborhood improvement
projects. Today I find myself
negotiating with landscaping vendors for a more cost-sensitive work proposal
that benefits our 2009 budget, diligently working with the social committee in
the planning of our annual block party and submitting proposals to the City of
Richardson for a capital improvement project that is focused solely on the
safety of our children.
In
closing, I would like to personally thank you for allowing me to serve as your
HOA President. I will carry out the
duties of my office with honor and will continually strive to preserve the
stature of Breckinridge Farms and all that it stands for.
