Position Descriptions

Board of Directors:

There shall be three (3) directors elected to the Board of Directors who shall govern the affairs of the Association until their successors have been duly elected and qualified.  The Association elects 3 directors each year at the annual meeting.  The board of directors elects the officers of the Association.

Officers:

·          President -- The President is the chief executive officer of the Association.  The president calls and presides over all meetings of the Association and the board of directors.   

·          Vice-President -- The Executive Vice President serves the duties of President if the President is absent or unable to perform the duties of the office. 

·          Secretary -- The Secretary documents the minutes of all board and Association meetings.  The Secretary maintains the records of association membership.

·          Assistant Secretary -- The assistant secretary, if any, shall have the powers and authority to perform all the functions and duties of the Secretary if the Secretary is absent or unable to perform the duties of the office.

·          Treasurer -- The Treasurer has the custody of and is responsible for keeping full and accurate accounts of all finances.  The Treasurer shall disburse the funds of the Association as may be ordered by the board of directors.

Committees:

·         Architectural Control Committee

The ACC ensures that the covenants that govern our community are adhered to by reviewing proposed changes to property within the bounds of the association.  The ACC is also referred to as the Architecture Review Committee (ARC).

·         Communications Committee

The Communications Committee fosters dialog and discussion of topics of concern to the association by maintaining an HOA website and publishing a periodic HOA newsletter.  This committee includes special positions of PTA Liaisons and PISD Liaison. 

·         Covenants Committee

This will be a special, one-time committee for 2004.  Their charter will be to make proposed upgrades to the Covenants & Bylaws we were given to better reflect the values of our members.

 ·        Landscape Committee

The Landscape committee is responsible for the beautification of our community.  This committee maintains our common area, sponsors a Gardening Club, and coordinates Yard-of-the-Month awards and Holiday Decorations contests.

·        Safety / Crime-Watch Committee

This committee will encourage traffic and home safety within our community.  We established a Neighborhood Crime Watch Program in 2004.  There are 11 Block Captains, one for each Crime Watch area within our community.  Each year our Neighborhood watch program needs to be recertified.

 ·        Social Committee

The Social Committee promotes community spirit for all residents in our association by coordinating special functions throughout the year.  The Welcoming Committee is a sub-committee that is chartered with welcoming new arrivals to our community.
